Sometimes the products that become part of our story are the ones we discover because of the dogs we love most.
Almost 18 years ago, my heart dog, Diesel, had a reaction after receiving a conventional topical flea and tick product. That experience changed the way I looked at the products I chose for my dogs. I began searching for a different approach—and that search introduced me to the original Daisy Paw Collar Companion®. I had no idea at the time just how big a part of my life it would eventually become.
Collar Companion quickly became part of life with my dogs.
Over the years, I used it with generations of my own Labradors and shared it with friends, family and the puppy families who trusted me with their newest family members.
I wasn’t selling Collar Companion. I simply believed in it. For nearly 18 years, those little round Collar Companions could be spotted on the collars of my dogs—and I became one of the product’s biggest advocates.
In 2025, I learned that Wendy England, the woman behind Collar Companion, was preparing to retire. The thought of a product I’d loved and used for so many years disappearing didn’t sit right with me. So I reached out.
What began as a conversation about keeping a much-loved product available eventually became something I never expected: the opportunity to carry Collar Companion forward myself.
A new chapter began.
In 2026, Collar Companion officially became part of Lab Mom®.
Today, I’m incredibly proud to continue the legacy Wendy created while bringing my own experience, knowledge and vision to its next chapter.
