Living with a pack of dogs means ensuring their comfort. In 2008, when I got Diesel, I remember thinking “I won’t be like my parents, I’m not letting the dog on the furniture”….this idea lasted for about an hour. Diesel was in bed and on the couch immediately, and over the years more and more dogs joined our family…and they too sleep on the furniture. We do however also have a lot of dog beds around the house, as sometimes they are happy to actually act like dogs. Finding the perfect dog bed was a challenge. In fact, I’ll go as far as saying it has taken 14 years to find the perfect dog bed. Having owned 12 dogs in my time, we know the challenges of dog beds, and this Bedsure Orthopedic Bed has solved them all!
Dog Bed Challenges that are solved with this bed:
1) Bed gets wet, drooled on, or even peed on – which ruins the foam/makes it permanently smell. Senior dogs, and pups sometimes have accidents – this bed can handle it! The Bedsure Orthopedic Bed is completely waterproof! There is an inner vinyl layer that protects the foam; so in the event of an accident you can wash the cover (machine wash!), and the bed itself is clean!
2) Bed is lumpy, or goes flat. A flat dog bed is not comfortable for a senior dog, but also can cause some dogs to dig and shred their bed – leaving a disastrous mess. If you’ve followed us for a few years, you might recall the time Hemi shredded, and ate, an old style dog bed – ending up in emergency surgery. With the Bedsure Orthopedic Dog Bed, the foam is in 2 pieces, each enclosed in a vinyl waterproof layer. The foam does not go flat. The dogs are comfortable, and it is especially supportive for senior dogs with sore joints. We have about 7 of these beds in our house, and they are a hit. The dogs love the comfort, and I love the ease of cleaning. I’ve slept on the dog beds before too while waiting for pups to be born – they are pretty comfortable, and supportive.
