Meet our Family

Camber - "Momma Tongue"

Camber joined our family in November 2014. Her happy personality has been such a pleasure, and we all love her dearly. Camber is a Chocolate English Labrador carrying the Fox Red and Dudley gene. She is the happiest girl, and brings a lot of activity to our house.

Camber is a water lover, and a sporty girl as well – hunting frogs is her specialty. Camber was nicknamed “Tongue” since she is always sticking her tongue out. It’s a hilarious trait that she occasionally passes on to her pups.

Camber retired from breeding in early 2022, after gracing us with her last daughter – Throttle Rottle Roo <3  Camber was bred to an outside male, so that I could keep Throttle back for future breedings.  Camber is staying in our family forever.

Axle - "Zo Zo"

Axle is a Chassis x Diesel pup that I decided to hold back from Chassis’ Feb 2016 litter for future breedings. He is a special guy with a kind heart, and shows characteristics from both his mom and dad. Axle features Bolo pads, and the amazing Bolo coat that is silky soft and shiny.

Axle is a little more reserved than his Dad Diesel, but is a cuddle bug at heart. He is taller than Diesel, and can leap fences without a second look! He’s still filling out in the chest, but is a handsome man.

Axle had an encounter with a Husky at a young age, and has a scar on his nose 🙁

Aerial - "Chunky"

Aerial joined our family in February 2017. Aerial is an English Labrador with the classic broad head design. She’s a pretty laid back girl (okay, out right lazy….), and definitely has a large stature.

Aerial’s name is special – not only is it the other word for Antenna on a vehicle, it is pronounced the same as “Ariel”, the mermaid from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. My best friend passed away in her early 20s, and her favorite movie was the Little Mermaid.

Aerial is a lazy gal, but also quite tough and rugged. She’s smart, and knows that waiting for the others to retrieve a ball, and then just body-slam them is the way to win at the game. She’s a character! Aerial retired from breeding in 2024.

Throttle - "Rottle Roo"

Throttle is a special girl, as she was from a planned breeding of her Momma Tongue with an outside male! I searched long and hard for an outside male to breed with Camber, so that I could keep a puppy back for future breedings – and we were graced with Miss. Throttle Rottle Roo.

She lives her life Full Throttle, and does everything at top speed. Throttle was born in March 2021, and will have pups in the future.

Throttle is named in honour of my late friend Nolan, who lived his life Full Throttle.  When Camber was pregnant, there was a little infection and I was so anxious – Nolan calmed me down.  After he passed away, one day I just thought “I’m going to name the puppy Throttle after Nolan’s Full Throttle lifestyle”….and when Throttle was born (she was the only girl), I knew immediately that it was her – gave her a kiss, cried, and said “Hi Throttle”.

Chrome - "The Boss"

Chrome joined our family in October of 2017. She is an American X English Silver Labrador! Chrome took over the “alpha” role in our pack after Hemi passed away.  Don’t let her small stature fool you – she’s the boss!  Chrome retired from breeding in 2022.

Silver Labs are a diluted version of a chocolate lab, and while there is a bit of controversy around this colour of Labrador – I spent a few years researching before committing to purchase a Silver gal for our breeding program.

Gauge - "Roo"

Gauge joined our family in October of 2018. He is a Charcoal coloured English Labrador.

Gauge fit right in with our pack – it was almost like he was born here! He loves water, and enjoys bugging Axle (the most submissive dog!).

Gauge is a Charcoal lab, meaning he “should” have been Black, but he has the recessive dilution gene “dd” which diluted his fur, and made him charcoal. This is the same idea as a Silver Lab, like Chrome & Fendy. When bred together, a Silver and Charcoal will yield Silver and Charcoal pups!  Gauge has sired black and chocolate pups as well, when bred with Aerial or Throttle.

Fender - "Fendy Bendy"

Fender joined our family in 2019, and has such a happy disposition. She is a Silver English Labrador

Fender is a goofball, happy go lucky, and bends her bum as she walks anywhere.  She excelled at dog school, and is very obedient….though gets super excited to meet new friends! Fendy passed all of her genetic health testing with flying colours, and has welcomed babies of her own.

Dodge - "Reeno"

Baby Dodge is our newest addition, born in 2023.  His parents are Fendy and Gauge! He certainly inherited Gauge’s facial expressions, and Fendy’s happy-go-lucky personality. He is a wild boy! Her certainly is mischievous and keeps me on my toes.

Dogs have a way of speaking to us, and Dodge spoke to me when he was 3 weeks old. He told me that he was meant to be in our family, and so here he will stay for life. Dodge connected with my soul, and while I kept him just to love him – we may consider using him as a sire in the future.

Pedal - "Weddle Woo"

Pedal is our newest addition, joining the family in spring 2024.  She is an Aerial X Axle pup, which means her grandpawrents are the late Diesel and Chassis <3

This is me, this is my life.  My dogs ARE my life <3

Everything I do, I do for them so they can live their best lives. We share our lives on social media to bring joy to others, but also strive to be a unique family for you to follow along with and learn from.

I am a 2009 Graduate from the University of Guelph, and I graduated with an Honours in Animal Biology and specialized in genetics and animal nutrition – so breeding healthy companions is dear to my heart. I grew up loving all animals, but dogs were always #1.  For every birthday, Christmas, halloween, Easter, and any holiday in between, I asked for my very own dog….we always had family dogs, but having my own dog was so important.  Now, all of these years later, I can have as many dogs as I want 🙂

My day job is in the pet nutrition field, so I really do live and breathe all things “pet”; in both my personal and professional life.

Chelsey - "Lab Mom"
